Buses in Sopot

Using public transport in Sopot is most complicated. If you get on a bus (of the Gdańsk public transport system) in Sopot and get off in Sopot, buy a ticket for PLN 1.60. However, if you want to cross the borders of Sopot, you should validate a ticket for PLN 3. If you get on a public transport bus in Gdynia, you have to buy a ticket for PLN 1.80 within Sopot. If you cross the border of Sopot, buy a ticket in Gdynia for PLN 3. The best option would be to buy a ticket from the driver, however, they usually speak only Polish.

The fast local train (SKM)

The fast local train (SKM) is the quickest means of transport in theTri-city. When you buy a ticket in the ticket office you should know your destination - a friendly lady will sell you the right ticket. It has to be validated before you get on a train - ticket punchers are located on platforms or next to entrances. Trains run on the route Gdańsk - Sopot - Gdynia 24 hours a day; during the day every 5-10 minutes.
