Kashubian Switzerland This is one of the most beautiful places in Poland. Picturesque landscapes filled with stunning forests, charming lakes and winding rivers. Every corner is unique in beauty. This is a dream place for those who love to relax by the water, and also for kayakers and sailors, who particularly like Lake Wdzydze. For amateur sailors, there is a possibility to take a tourist boat trip. Whilst in the area, it’s worth seeing the oldest ethnological park in Poland at Wdzydze which has buildings from ancient Kashubia and Kociewie from the 18th century to the mid 20th century. A great attraction could also be the Radunia River route, (Kółka Raduńskie) which is a tempting route for kayakers and consists of 10 lakes, and totals 40km At some parts of the journey it resembles the rush of a mountain stream. Kashubian forests also house stone circles, which remain from Megalithic cultures. The biggest and best known archaeological reserve can be found at Odry near Czersk. Here you can see 10 complete stone circles, 2 incomplete and 600 burial mounds.
Kashubia is an enclave of wonderful folklore, which is still alive and carefully looked after today. Most of the inhabitants use Kashubian language and live with traditions and festivals of this culture.
